we are delighted to welcome back skymark to a deeper groove, this time pulling on your heartstrings with an excellent mix of rare and deep northern soul, called pain volume 1. you can just feel the angst and the hurt in every track. we gave you music to make babies to….well this is music to break up to. we have been featuring skymark in our playlist’s from the beginning of a deeper groove, he also gave you the soul against the winter mixtape, if you missed it check out the archives. Skymark is from switzerland now residing in barcelona and is a member of the Soulsociedad dj’s and beats producers. he grew up listening to deep 70’s soul, modern soul, spiritual black jazz, fresh 80’s funk and started collecting records at the age of 11. He started to make beats in 2005 using the MPC and playing different vintage keyboards. After having released the Deep Soul Re-visited album and different beats in compilations he took part in a ‘to be released’ project called ‘A class of its own 2007’ and had the opportunity to work with people like The Mizell Brothers, Andreya Triana, Steve Spacek, Om’as Keith, Blackspade.
